EA on Metaframe
« on: July 11, 2008, 04:21:47 am »
Hi.

We are considering to publish EA on Metaframe servers, allowing our team to work on it remotely. In preliminary tests, we installed EA Corporate Edition on the server and configured our shared key file. The problem is that for every user that access the Metaframe server the window to add the keys is displayed. Is there any way to install EA on Metaframe and configure the licences file only once for all users?

Hi Rinaldo,

My guess is that you are out of luck. I'm not sure though, so check to see if anyone knows a way.

When EA is installed on a desktop machine, the license key dialog will come up for each user (i.e. account) on the machine. I get the impression this behavior is built in.

NOTE: I wonder if you could use the floating license edition to make this work gracefully. Might be worth asking Sparx about...

No, you can't have it!

Hi David.

Our license is floating. But it seems that it is not possible to do it even with floating licences. I will try to contact Sparxs.
