Package Control --> File Properties...?
« on: July 28, 2008, 07:42:19 pm »
Can anyone help?

In the tutorial files for version controlling, Package Control --> File Properties... brought up a read-only window indicating which user had a  package checked out (where applicable).

I don't see this in version 7 of the software. What I get instead is the window which links a package to the change request in the configuration control database.

Anybody know how to get the original window back (as this was quite a useful way of keeping tabs on who was working on a file at a particular instance)?

TIA,

umlaut1.

Package Control | File Properties still works for me.

I don't recognise the window you get - is it from the version control software, or from EA? If there is a Help button on the window, what does it display?
Best Regards, Roy

File Properties is still there as a choice from Package Control, but I expected the 'readout' of non-editable information that is shown in the video tutorial.
The version I am using is 7.1.830 - the screenshots in the help file and the video tutorial don't resemble what I see in my version in some places; the 'Package Control --> File Properties...' option being a case in point.
What I see instead is the window in which a change request is associated with a package when it's being checked-in (for me, this window has the title, "SCC Properties" because I am using StarTeam for configuration control) - I would like to see the readout mentioned above as this would be quite useful when working on a shared project.
