Relationship matrix in RTF
« on: September 16, 2008, 10:15:40 pm »
I haven't found a direct way to include a relationship matrix in a generated RTF document. Is there a way to do this other than exporting to CSV or PDF and copy-pasting it in a Word-document?

Mind letting me know how you are able to export the Relationship Matrix to CSV?

I haven't noticed that functionality before.

From Relationship Matrix:
Options->Matrix->Export to CSV

Sorry for the bump, but I'm really interested if there is a way to export it directly to a RTF document. Maybe through model document elements or a master document element?

Any ideas are appreciated.

i think generating RTF is too difficult considering splitting into pages, with column and line name repeated ...
try this shareware : http://www.advancedreliablesoftware.com/advanced_csv_to_rtf_table_converter.html
it is 10$ if it works for you... wondering about splitting ...

Hi fbp,

Thx for the link. This tool does do the trick, but actually we are trying to improve our documentation and limit the amount of tools and steps/actions needed to get to a maintainable document.

I agree that it will not be easiest thing to integrate in the current RTF generation functionality. Though traceability of requirements is that important in a design, that I would be stunned if there seems to be no solution for this at all except for importing it manually through a CSV file. Just hope someone found some workaround within EA for this feature.
