Taking your floating license offline?

Is it possible to work offline with a floating license? Someone working in an airport while waiting for the plane.

Yes.

You need to set the license loan period up for a long enough period (perhaps a week or two), acquire the license on a client machine (by starting EA), then disconnect the machine.

EA will keep the license, and the keystore program will remember that it is in use. When the license period expires - if the system has not connected again and relinquished the license - the local EA copy will know the license has expired and stop working (until another lease is acquired) while the keystore program will reactivate that license and return it to the pool.

There are forum threads that describe this in more detail. If you search for them go back quite some time; I don't remember any since at least the beginning of this year or so.
