Two copies of one package within the same model?
« on: October 15, 2008, 12:22:23 am »
Hello,
is there a way to create a sort of a backup copy of one package within the same model in a copy-paste-like mode? Anyhow?

No - you can't copy and paste from the UI.  You can XMI export / import (and click the strip GUIDs when importing - your package and containing elements becomes a copy).  The other option is baselines - if you want to temporarily save a copy as a backup before major changes.

I was thinking of writing an add-in to allow a deep copy of a package and its contents (similar to deep copy when pasting elements on a new diagram).... there might already be one.

Cheers,
David.
