Autonumber Facility
« on: October 28, 2008, 10:41:11 am »
I believe there is an Autonumber facility in Enterprise Architect.  It does things like number Requirements REQ001, REQ002 etc.

Where is it and how do I get it to work?

I cannot find any reference to to in the EA documents.  I believe the facility is used on the EA Demo - WSDLDemo.

See: http://www.sparxsystems.com/uml_tool_guide/what_is_uml_modeling/autocounternames.html

Once the Auto Counters have been configured and activated, this will affect all Elements created from that time onward.  It will not affect any existing elements in your model.

HTH.

Many thanks.
Please could you let me know How  I can link a Use Case to a previously defined Requirement?  (I can see you can make link between the two if the Requirement is defined in the Use Case which is not quite the same thing)
