Delete stereotype override in Code Template Editor
« on: October 31, 2008, 05:37:40 am »
Deleting a stereotype in the code template editor pops up a diaglog asking if I want to remove template changes, but the override remains.

How do I delete it?

TIA

The only reason I can imagine that the override would remain after you deleted, is that the override is in the default templates.  In that case, you won't be able to delete it.  (You can't change the default templates, you can only override them.)

To get similar behavior you would need to copy the non-stereotyped template over the override.

I imported template stereotype overrides via reference data.  My intent was to reuse them, but with a different stereotype name.
That worked, but now I can't get rid of the imported ones.

A user-defined override is "in" in default templates?  It doesn't seem logical that a user-defined override cannot be deleted.

No, that wouldn't be right.

It may be easier to try to answer this via email.  I don't think anything would be going wrong, but if you send a bug report detailing your steps along with the stereotypes you used, we'll work it out faster.
