Add Project Information to RTF Documentation

Hi,

i want to create a cover page for a document, which has to contain some information about the model and company.  (i.e. date of creation, author, logo, department, address, version numbers...)

The best thing would be to create (and maintain) one template and edit some kind of "project properties" to add the correct information into the document.
For example include a logo or an additional document based on an option in these properties.

Or is it possible to create an additional package which contains the information?
It would horrible to maintain all different versions of these templates.

What is the best way to not have to create an extra template for each case?
i.e. for each department with different logo or author (author should always be the one who "creates" the documentation not the template).
