C# partial classes
« on: December 11, 2008, 09:48:27 am »
Hi all,

when I use EA to reverse-engineer my C# code, classes which are realized as partial classes will result in multiple classes of the same name in the class diagram. Is this an EA bug or is there a way to get around this ?

It is not a bug. EA should be setting a tagged value - I think that's what EA uses; check the Tagged Values window to be sure - on each class to indicate they are partial. That's just how EA does this.

AFAIK you have no options on this, at least as far as the EA-generated diagram. Some users have asked for flexibility on this. [At least in the forum. I do not know how many have forwarded feature request to Sparx.] So far there has been no commitment in this direction. That does not mean that Sparx is not, or will not, consider something, just that there has not been any undertaking expressed in the forum.
No, you can't have it!
