How to save RTF Report options?
« on: January 13, 2009, 11:53:05 am »
I can't figure out how to save some options associated with RTF report generation.  For example, when I set options such as "Skip root package" of the advanced tab of the Generate RTF Documentation dialog, then save as a Resource Document and close the dialog, the options are cleared when I reopen the Resource Document.

This also seems to apply to settings in the Options tab.

Settings on the Options and Advanced tabs of the Generate RTF Documentation dialog are NON-PERSISTENT and apply only to the current execution of the report.

To save a template as a Resource document, set up the template using the RTF Style Template Editor, setting the Document and Advanced options via the File | Document Options menu. Then go back to the Generate RTF Documentation dialog and select the template on the Generate tab and use the Resource Document button.

The Options DIALOG persists its settings, so you can save and re-use them.

I hope that helps.

Best Regards, Roy

Thanks RoyC, that does the trick.  Next time I'll read the Document Options help a bit more thoroughly  :-[
