BPMN Item, how to?
« on: January 24, 2009, 05:29:18 am »
Like what is displayed at http://www.sparxsystems.com/uml_tool_guide/what_is_uml_modeling/bpmn_1_4.html, from toolbox I only can select general item type, for example "Start Event", but in the actual diagram in that page it is possible to further select sub-types, like timer start event, message start event and so on.

How to do it in my EA 7.1?

To set the general type to a specific subtype, open up the associated tagged values and set the subtype of the tagged value.

Tagged Values can be opened from the View menu.

For instance, the default image for an "Intermediate Event" is a "message" icon. Click the element, then view the tagged values (if window not visible - Menu: View|Tagged Values, or press Ctrl - Shift - 6)

The trigger tagged value is set to "Message", access the tagged value's drop down list and change it to say "Timer" and there you go!

Hope we all helped!
