Is there anyway to share Styles?
« on: February 25, 2009, 02:59:21 am »
The styles bar is a pretty useful feature for standardizing color and look and feel across a shared model. When I create styles, other who are using the shared model don't seem to have access to them. Are these styles stored in the registry? Or a config file? Is there an easy way share these styles across a team.

They might be stored as reference data (see the EA Help index). If so, they need to be exported from your model and imported by other users. Note that reference data is not covered by EA source control.
No, you can't have it!

Would there be away to ensure a set of reference data be propgated?

If only the short-cut feature could be used, then you could distribute that?

We are using the shared repository version (SQL Server). I'm the only one who sees my styles.

I understand... One way would be to define a separate EA project to hold the reference data that you want to be shared... export this...

then create an add-in to automate the process of importing this data when the project is loaded into EA.

Would seem to be pretty straight forward... Might be worth looking into...
