Where do the values "Run By", "Checked By" from?

Apollogies if this is a silly question but couldn't find an answer to it anywhere. Where are the values for "Run By" and "Checked By" within the Test Cases obtained from? These are currently greyed out if when I attempted to write a case against an element.

I would have thought either one of the following:
1. You can write these in manually
2. It requires security to be enabled and other accounts defined.

I have tried the latter and haven't had any luck nor can I find it anywhere in the help.

First, I am assuming you are using the Testing (i.e. Alt-3) window. Here's what to do.

Remember that you will not be able to use these drop downs unless (and until) you have highlighted the test in the list on the left side of the window. Just having a test name in the top text box - as you might when you first open the window - does not seem to be enough. [I could be wrong here, but that is how it seems to operate for me.]

If you still have the problem, it is because EA does not 'know' who is associated with your project. From the EA main menu choose Settings | People. [Note that you do not need to exit the test menu to do this.] There are several tabs on the resulting People dialog. For now just use the Resources tab. Enter a few names, remembering to click Save for each; you can leave the rest of the fields blank for now. Exit the dialog.

Now go back to your Testing window, make sure you have a test highlighted, and click one of the drop-downs. You should now see your resources.

You should play around with the People dialog a bit, and check the EA help, as there are several ways you can enhance these entries.
