Changing attribute types in a batch

Is there any way to change attributes in a table to a different type in a batch. Say I have a table with a bunch of integer attributes/columns but I want to change several of them to say bigint or varchar(20). Is there any way to select them and/or change in a batch without having to manually change each one?
