Adding a Requirement Type to an RTF document
« on: March 26, 2009, 09:33:39 pm »
Hello all - another new member here with hopefully an easy to solve problem.

We are creating a template to document our Requirements using a very simple RTF template which is then inserted into our standard corporate Word documents.

So far this is OK, but I cannot see how we can add one particular property of the requirement element to the RTF template.

Our requirements are grouped in a series of Packages and associated elements under "Requirements Model".  I can include the name and notes for both the packages and elements into the template but cannot see how to include "Type" from the requirement element - by Type I mean "functional" "performance" "report" etc that appear in the drop-down list under "Type" when you create a new Requirement.

If I insert the field {Element.Type} into the template, the end result is always "Requirement" - which is reasonable as this is the Type of element I'm working with.

So - how do I get the document to show "functional" "display" "reporting" etc against each requirement?  I've tried just about all of the fields available when I right-click the template but cannot find the right one.

I've included (below) the template we are using.

Many thanks in advance.

{Pkg.Name}
{Pkg.Notes}

< child elements
< element

< child packages
< package

BTW - we are using Ent Arch v7.1.834

That field is actually the Element Stereotype field (confusing I know).
