checkout performance
« on: April 29, 2009, 06:48:11 pm »
Hi @ all,
we use a shared EA file repository placed on a network drive. Most of our packages are version controlled (MKS). If I checkout a package (XMI size about 10MB) the import of XMI file takes more than 30 minutes. It is much faster if I use a local repository but its still very slow (about 8 minutes).
My questions are:
Why EA starts import after checkout? We use a shared repository, so the version controled XMI cannot differ from repository content and I think an import is not neccesary.
Is there any posibility to prevent import after checkout?
Is there any posibilty to speed up the import process?
Is it possible to interrupt checkout without EA-File inconsistency?
Why does the "Accept current package" dialog does not open, even when I press "Ctrl"?

Best regards
Armin
