EA and Polarion ALM?
« on: April 29, 2009, 09:01:01 pm »
Hi

We have to organize a large amount of requirements, test cases..., for a new Software Project. What i see is that EA can help me in that case, but lacks on support of Project Management. Another point is, i'm not shure if i get lost in EA with a lot of requirements, the relation between them, the Dokumentation and the tracability in the implementation phase.

Maybe EA and Polarion ALM could be a solution?

Are there any users here with EA and Polarion experience (good or bad ones)?

Cheers, OneCent

Hi,

look at http://www.polarion.com/products/connectors/ea.php.
Polarion provides a connector to sync EA Elements with Polarion Work Items.
With this connector you can create "Proxy" Work Items for, e.g. Use Cases (or whatever you want). In Polarion you then have the full traceability.

I've never used id in my own projects - only some tests done. So I can't tell you if this is a scaleable solution. But I think it's worth the try.

greetings, Michael
