Export package to XML - invalid file name
« on: June 09, 2009, 11:05:55 am »
I'm trying to export a package to XML.
I browse to the folder using the [...] button.

The resulting filename is

Code: [Select]
\\hocfs02\is group\X Systems Architecture\Architecture Team\Team member folders\Simon\TKDM_xmi.xml
When I click on export I get is "You must specify a valid path for the export file".
Yet the path is valid.
Any ideas?

Seems like this message can mean just about anything. I remember getting it when I tried to export a controlled package which was under version control, and inadvertently chose the local working copy xmi file as destination. Of course in your case the reason for the destination being "invalid" could be something else.

Well the obvious suggestion is that EA does not support UNC paths.
Tell me it isn't so.
