How to move elements to package
« on: July 18, 2009, 10:01:32 am »
I started a new project and now want to move my class drawing elements to a package.  I cannot drag the elements to the package within Project Browser.  I have tried locking and unlocking the diagram with no difference.  What else to try?

Do you mean you are moving elements between two packages in the same project? And if so, are both packages under the same project root? [By default there is only one root in an EA project, but you can create additional root nodes. If you've not done so you can ignore the second question.]
No, you can't have it!

To further clarify - are you trying to drag elements out of a diagram onto the Project Browser? That won't work.

The elements that you have now should already be in a package - they can't exist outside one. Then, you should be able to click on an element in that package in the Project Browser, and drag it to another package.

Can you give us the steps you are following?
Best Regards, Roy

Doh!  I was trying to drag and drop the classes onto the new logical diagram icon within my new package rather than onto the package icon.  My bad.
