Import and Export of Project Glossary
« on: August 12, 2009, 02:52:27 am »
I'm interest to learn how to update the project glossary in a more convenient way, and use it more effectively.

Basically I'd like to learn how it is possible to edit an export of glossary (xml format export) in a very convenient way (using something like word, or excel) to add in content and categories, then re-import to populate the glossary. Basically there are plenty of good definitions around and importing them is preferable to a long cut and paste session.

Is there is an easy way to do this using standard office tools?

As an aspiration, I would like to see the tool automatically detect a term that exists in the glossary, and insert a hyperlink to that in the relevant text . This would highlight the existence (and absence) of formal definitions of important terms. It would also encourage consistent use of terms within the architecture, very useful when working within a team environment. Is there any way to tailor this?

All hints and tips welcome.
