Relationship Matrix / Level numbering
« on: August 27, 2009, 05:55:02 pm »
Hi,

I'm a little bit confused... Maybe someone can help me:

1.) As a source type, I use "requirements", target is "Use ceses". Link type "Realization", Direction "Source -> Target".

If these settings are OK if I want to connect requirement that realize use cases, we can go on:

2.) I have grouped Requirements in packages and sub packages. If I switch on level numbering for the top level package, nothing happes. Requirements do not get numbered. If I switch it on for each sub-package, numbering start new for each package, so I got each number multiple times in the matrix.

3.) The other issue I have is with the use cases. I have a package containing use cases. These uses cases contain sub use cases as composite (I know should use packages and/or generalization but this model is too complex to use generalization in one diagram and I need the parent use case diagrams to look like a real use case diagram and provide all UML features so using packagages either wouldn't work).
IN the relationship matrix, now I have all Use cases (no matter if they are parent oder child) which are labeled "Primary Use Cases::Use Case name.
This is quite nasty bacause I can't say which are parent use cases and which are sub. And I want to realize only the leaf use cases.

So is there any way to make my lilfe a bit easier and probably only show leaf use cases or to inlcude the full use case name like Package::Parent-UseCase::Child::Usecase etc?

Any comments are appreciated!

Jan
