Practical limit to Quick Linker?
« on: September 25, 2009, 11:36:36 am »
I'm getting into the quick linker definitions and (apart from, as usual, wanting even more functionality in the area  ;)) I'm finding it very useful for creating modelling environments that are particular to the type of modelling we are undertaking (elsewhere I've discussed "programme Modelling").

Anyway, the current quick linker definition file (CSV) is 260 lines long (some comments (<10%), but mainly definitions).

This got me wondering... I can see creating multiple MDG technologies for a number of simultaneous modelling tasks.  So is there a practical limit to the amount of quick linker definitions EA can support?

Supposing more than one MDG technology defines a quick linker definition (for the same thing); which one wins or do they both appear?  If the latter how are they distinguished?

It's a VERY useful technology and so I'd like to architect our use of it with the necessary information about its potential behaviour.

TIA,
Paolo
