Weird XML? error
« on: October 09, 2009, 01:58:16 pm »
Hi,

One of my models (.EAP file) has just started generating an error dialog on opening:

Error:
Code = 0xc00ce55e
Source = Line: 2031; Char = 26
Error Description = Element was not closed.

A quick look on the Net suggests a problem with some internal XML.  I presume there's no way to deduce which element has the problem from this?

After dismissing, the model opens fine and Project Integrity Check [Shift+F9] reveals NO problems.

Any ideas?

[edit]After observing the problem on another model - then a few more, I tumbled to the fact that the XML in question was likely an installation one.  Running a (X) Repair of the EA installation didn't fix the problem, but an uninstall/reinstall did.
Hope this helps someone else...[/edit]
TIA,
Paolo
