Base vs. Custom Development
« on: December 17, 2009, 12:07:15 am »
Greetings,

We are creating Activity, Class, Component and Sequence diagrams using EA. We need to have all of these diagrams for our base product.
In addition, we need to create the same diagrams for each of our client-specific implementation.
Client implementation can be quiet different from the Base: it might have different activities, can be implemented using different parts of a framework, etc.
Without copying base diagrams to a client-specific packages and modifying it there, what is the best way to manage multiple versions of the same matter?

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

There is no free lunch. If you have different stakeholders with different interests you need to serve each differently. As long as your base elements are the same you can not reduce the labor...
