placing constraints across objects
« on: January 12, 2010, 04:31:31 am »
Hi

I have a detailed business model comprised of Business Use Cases and Business Flows ( Activity Diagrams). I have used the "Constraints" tab on the Business Use Cases to capture business rules. I have a great report that can go through the repository and pull these out for me....

 So far, so good.

Moving into Systems Analysis and System Use Cases I would like to have a means of linking those original business rules ( attached to those business use cases) up to User Requirements in the Solution Domain ( Use Cases, Functional/ Non functional requirements etc)

I can **see** the Constraints/ Business rules by clicking on a Business Use Case and selecting View -> Other Windows -> Element Browser . That's no problem....

I cannot seem to drag these elements across to a System Use Case diagram or System Use Case

can anyone help me understand if constraints from one object can be associated to more than one OTHER object? I know that you can place the constraints on the diagrams themselves ( as opposed to the Business Use Cases) but this would make the diagrams ugly and hard to read,,,
