Substitution in hyperlinks

I'm putting many hyperlinks into sequence diagrams. I'm finding that the base portion of my URLs changes as our local network evolves. As I have many hyperlinks (mostly linking parts of sequence diagrams to the corresponding points in captured traces/log files), it takes too long to change the hyperlinks.

Would anyone have an idea as to how to address this?

I've wondered about any mechanism EA has for substituting text in a URL but haven't found one.

The "Local Paths" facility seems ideal it only supports substitution in the path to a source file as opposed to in a URL. Unfortunately, html isn't one of choices for file type.

Microsoft Word has a "Hyperlink Base" property that could do the mapping for an RTF report. Of course, I'd like to be able to exercise the hyperlinks from within EA.

Is there a way to substitute environment variables?
