Overwrite Document Field option?
« on: February 18, 2010, 12:59:02 am »
This was an option of EAs Generate RTF Documentation dialog.

What exactly is this option supposed to do?

In build 850 this option was skipped for the new option Optimize for Open Office.

Is this still the same option and just renamed or are these two different options?

Thx,
H.

I guess so. In older versions you needed the'Overwrite Document Field' option to generate RTF files that could be properly processed further with OpenOffice.

The new option does what the old one did, plus a couple of changes to the way diagram metafiles are created to overcome similar incompatibilities.

However, the more significant change with this option was that it is not a user setting instead of a property of a template.  This is due to the assumption that users are more likely to use the same viewer for all reports.
