EA v8: Dynamic Visual Filtering ??

Hi

Can anyone let me know how to use Dynamic Visual Filtering, introduced in v8??
there's nothing in the EA help explaining how to make use of this.

Name it
Select the filter criteria (like in Search)
Chech/Uncheck to grey/light elements
