Using Pattern Merge for non standard UMLdiagrams

Hi,

We are developing bpmn models and have built a set of workflow patterns based on the work of the Workflow Patterns Initiative.

Am find that when I drop two patterns onto the workspace and use the 'Merge' option in the 'Add Pattern' dialog box it does not work.

We are using the EA BPMN MDG add-on so hoping it would be compatible.

Have played and can get Class and Use Cases to work, have looked through forum and seen discussions on this but need to know if I am on the wrong track and wasting my time.

Does the 'Merge' option only work for standard UML?
