Export All Models in HTML
« on: April 30, 2010, 11:12:33 am »
Hi,

Has anyone tried to export all models in a repository into an HTML document (web site) so that they appear together in the TOC?
Currently I'm exporting each model separately because they are root packages. However, models have links in between their elements and it would be very useful to have one HTML export for everything inside a model repository. Is this possible?

As far as I know, this isn't possible.  That's why there's ONLY (effectively) one root in my models:  "Repository", the previous project roots have been "down graded" to packages below it.

It's not too hard - just export as XMI and then reimport (usually into a new repository) at the appropriate level.

HTH,
Paolo

Hi Paolo,

Thanks for the reply. I am thinking of the same thing you did. The only negative side I see with that option is that the lower-level packages do not show icons any more (Use Case Model, Component Model, etc.).  :o

They're rather illusory (the icons)...  Why not put in a feature request to allow the allocation of icons to packages in general?

It'd get my vote.
