Best way of recording review comments on a Model?
« on: May 05, 2010, 08:54:25 am »
Hi,
We're starting out implementing EA as our preferred design tool.  We develop models for our own products and services, and for customer projects.  In each case we need to perform internal reviews and obtain feedback from customers.

What's the best way of providing the model for review (ie. EAP with EALite), and recording feedback so that it can easily be associated with the model?  We currently generate documentation but is there a better way?

Thanks for any ideas!
regards,
Peter

EALite users have full use of the Team Review window (what in EA 7.5 used to be called Discussion Forum). May be worth a look...

Peter,

We use the maintenance issues to store both manual and automated review comments. Those are linked to the element that is being reviewed.
But I'm afraid that an EALite user won't be able to add any issues.
What you could do is write a little addin that enables the EALite users to enter their comments, but whether that is going to be more cost-effective then buying some new licenses is doubtful.

Thanks for the suggestions so far.

Is there a simple method of seeing what posts in the Discussion Forum an element is linked to without going through the posts?

Peter
