Name an Activity but keep the name from showing up
« on: July 15, 2010, 01:31:37 am »
I want Create a new activity in a Business Object Page and give it a name so that the activity shows up with a name in the tree in the right nav.  But I noticed that it puts the name inside the activity in black and very small text and I see no way to tweak that in terms of font size, position, color, etc.  So what I do is I don't name my activities because I hate that text and how it's formatted and where it's placed.  Since I have no flexibility there is no use in naming an activity if I'm stuck to the default black, small text and I can't move it anywhere...what's the point?

So what I do is create a text label on top of the activity and I can make the name of that activity look much more readable using a label...however obviously the activity name itself is blank so therefore I've got a ton of blank activity thumbnails under my business objects in the right pane.

There's got to be a way to name these elements but not get stuck wtih the default font behavior right?  If there isn't then this tool is totally dictating one avenue for using and formatting element names on the surface.

Example:

Try the format toolbar or Appearance | Set Font from the context menu.

This will allow you to adjust the font, colour and size, but not the position.
