How to Create Note Link?
« on: July 25, 2010, 07:16:04 am »
Hello

I'm new to using Enterprise Architect (7.0). I'm trying to create a note link to my use case scenarios but I can't get it to work without having the use case on my diagram. I want to achieve the same diagram that the EAExample model uses in one of its activity diagrams (Requirements Model > Use Case Model > Manage Users > View Account Details ). In this diagram there are three notes. They are linked to the three scenarios of the use case 'View Account Details' which is in a separate use case diagram. I would like to do the same thing: Create a note link to a use case that is in a separate use case diagram. I can't figure out how to do it. Can someone help? Thank you.

Hi,

You only need the Notelink on the same diagram as the linked element when you set up the relationship between them.

Once you've created the link you can remove the element from the diagram and leave the note behind.

In your case, drag the Use Case to the target diagram, setup the linked Note then remove the Use Case from the target diagram.
