Resizing a composite without ports moving

Hi all,
Does anyone know if there's a way to resize a composite component without the ports on it's surface moving?  I spend ages making the connectors from internal elements (within the composite) to these ports look aesthetically pleasing, then find that a resize of the composite is required, which means going back and adjusting all the connector vertices again!
