Relationship Matrix and RTF
« on: October 27, 2010, 08:22:43 pm »
Hello everyone
I realize (after searching the forum) that I cannot include a Relationship Matrix profile in an RTF report.
Has anyone found a suitable workaround for this?

TIA

Maggie

I haven't found a slick automated way to do this.

The best approach that I have found is to export the matrix to .CSV, do some formating in EXCEL and then paste it into WORD as a table.

This feature has been implemented and should available in EA 8.1 (once it's release).

Thanks for the update
When can we expect EA 8.1?

If you are using EA version 8.0, you can export the matrix as a graphic, then insert this on a linked document for an element (I use a package)

Then the linked document can be output easily in the RTF generator. This is just an interim stop gap, and of course the graphic would need to be re-inserted every time the matrix changed.

Good news about the implementation in EA v 8.1

Cheers

Well this is great news.  I wonder if 8.1 will appear before Christmas or sometime in 2011 ?

Do you know if this new feature means that I will be able to embed diagrams in a linked document directly without first having to save them to a file?

I sure hope so. Note, if such a feature has already been implemented, can you let me know, please?

If want the image a Linked Document, then you will have to save it to file first.  If you want it in a generated RTF report, you just need to enabled the Matrix section.
