Using symbol fonts: Webdings, Zapfdingbats...
« on: December 07, 2010, 10:21:37 pm »
Is there some issue with old models using Webdings, Zapfdingbats and Wingdings when opened in newest version?

Old version was 6.5 and new version is 8.0.864.

Any procedure to convert?

I'm not aware of any issue.

Where are you using them?  What are you seeing?

Inside GUIElements in the name property.

We use the L of Webdings font, and it doesn't show as a symbol until we set the font to the same it already is.

Many other elements has the same issue.

For now, we are setting the font for each element we see, but it would be nice to correct them all for once.

There are known, reported, and accepted deep seated problems with unicode characters that work in some fields and element types, but not others. Please report as as bug.

Since when has the letter 'L' been a unicode character?  Last time I checked it was in the ASCII range.

Your are right of course. I assumed that at some point the representation might change to the actual UTF character.

Still setting it manually.

Someone from Sparx to try and report a solution?

I'm still not seeing a problem and no bug report sent in to Sparx Systems.  Without the bug report it's unlikely to be investigated deeply here (or corrected if we did see a problem).
