Integrate generated HTML documention into WIKI
« on: January 10, 2011, 07:37:12 pm »
Hello,

Is it possible to jump directly into the generated HTML documentation?

We use confluence as a WIKI and we would like to link into the EAP generated HTML documentation preferably using a GUID so we won't have to fix broken links.

cheers,

Geert Bellekens

IIRC the HTML generated documentation is not guaranteed to produce the same url for the same element between different runs.

I did see some kind of search util for HTML documentation (third party). That might be of use for you.

Use the top left search button to find the related posts.

I tried the search before the posting, but I have not been able to come up with usable search results.

Can I link into the HTML generated documentation at all?? When I open the index.html and click through the documentation, the address bar does not change.

cheers,

Aaron B

You can statically link to a specific element or diagram in HTML reports by specifying it's GUID.  See:

Hello. I have a kind of related question: When using the document to html feature, there is no 'front page'. I get a page with 3 frames, the left 2 for navigation, but I would like, when opening index.html to display and inroduction page. What document would this be in my project? Thanks in advance.

Well, it works. Partially, that is.

In IE it jumps to the GUID (element) and unfolds the tree on the left. In Firefox it jumps to the GUID (element) but the tree on the left does not unfold leaving the user clueless where he is.

We use: Firefox.
