Simple question on Element Notes
« on: May 29, 2011, 08:30:10 pm »
I'm doing my first complex model on EA and I'm stuck with Element Notes.

I've done reverse engeneering of some code and it's in a specific package, just for refence.
But when I do detailed class diagrams and use the classes of my reverse engeneering package, the notes that I've written on them don't show up in the class diagrams RTF documentantion.

I understand that only the notes of elements inside the package that we export to documentation are shown, but is it possible so make some kind of linking to export the notes from the elements of one package to another?

I've tryied the past as link with no luck.

There is a checkbox on diagram -> properties -> diagram tab called "document each element contained in RTF".  That option means any element on the diagram (no matter what package the element is in) will be included in the documentation (assuming you have element.notes included in your RTF template).
