Diagram context menu: shows only new elements

Sorry for bothering with this simple issue, but I don't find the way to change the behaviour of the context menu in the diagram.
Instead the 'Diagram Properties' I see the 'Insert items' like package,... as described here:

What version of Enterprise Architect are you using? The version of the web help that you link to is not the latest (I believe it matches release 8.0).

However, I'm not sure that makes too much difference. Can you clarify what you are doing and seeing? You right-click on the diagram background and display the diagram context menu, but it does not have the Properties menu option - is that correct?  You do see an Insert Items option? I don't recognise that. IS that the option, or are you referring to New Element or Connector, or Insert Existing Element?

Thanks for the answer. I  use EA 9.0.907 Professional Edition.

When I move the mouse on the diagram and the click then on the context menu I see the following list of options:
- Other
- Package
- Class
...

On my laptop I see the following list:
- Add-Ins
- Proprieties
- Swim-lanes and Matrix ...
- ...

Light dawns on me! The menu you are seeing is the Toolbox shortcut menu, which is displayed instead of the Diagram Context menu when you press Ctrl or Shift as you click the right-hand mouse button.

Perhaps you have [Ctrl Lock] on, or some Windows sticky-key setting that is putting [Ctrl] or [Shift] into the mix?

Alternatively, give your laptop a sharp smack. (Hey, it worked for the Hubble Space Telescope...)

Indeed this might be the reason: CTRL or SHIFT does not work properly in order to change from the shortcut menu to the context. Maybe it's because I work with a virtualized WinXP with VMWare.
