Problem with OLE-Object as a linked document
« on: August 03, 2011, 11:19:01 pm »
Hi all,

I'm new at EA and I do my first steps with this tool.
I've created a diagram witch shows several different systems and their interactions. The systems a modeled as components with stereotype "System". At such a component you have the possibility to attach a linked document (right click on it). A new window will open where you can enter some Text. With an other right click in the document you'll be able to insert an OLE object (right click -->Insert-->OLE object ...) When you choose Acrobat PDF as an insert object type a open file dialogue will pop up. After a little moment I got the error message " Server is busy ...." Therefore I've to kill EA and restart it.
This is reproducable on any other PC I've access to.

Anyone who knows help? It's essential to me to attach PDF-files.

Thanks in advance,
Auel

Attach the PDF object to a word document, then copy and paste the object to the linked document.
