Generate DDL
« on: October 28, 2011, 05:42:21 am »
Hi,

I have Enterprise Architect v7.1.830 and I'm trying to generate a DDL script for a data base but I can't find the option.
According to the help topics, I'm supposed to find that option in the folling sections:
  • Right click on any table.
  • Right click on the proyect browser/package

I'm wondering if EA v7.1.830 has the option to create a database script,
    [1]Does it has it?
[2]If it has it, why mine isn't showing it?
[3] How can I fix this (without buying a new license)?

Thanks in advance!

  • To generate DDL for a single table, right-click the table on your diagram and select Generate DDL.
  • To generate DDL for a package, right-click the package in the Project Browser and select Code Engineering | Generate DDL.

Thanks for your reply hd, however, if I do what you suggest, there's no "Generate DDL" or "Code Engineering / Generate DDL" options...

I think I might have to do a fresh install...

Which edition of EA are you running?  (E.g. Desktop, Professional, Corporate)

Database Engineering is not available in the Desktop edition.
