Can't create element from custom toolbox

We have developed a custom technology to help us with modelling our BizTalk infrastructure.  I haven't had to update a diagram for a month or so and it worked last time I tried. I have also checked time stamps on things and as far as I can see nothing has changed since it last worked. However...

I am no longer able to drop elements from the toolbox onto a diagram or to create an element based on a type in the toolbox.

No errors are flagged (and none are written to the Event Log).  As you start the drag the cursor changes shape and as you end the drag it goes back to normal but with no element created.  If you dtry and create an element from the Project Browser you get the New Element box displayed and you can change the Active Toolset to our custom one but the Type drop down has nothing in it.  I had expected to see an entry in the Type drop down for every icon in the toolbox.

Does anyone have any ideas what we might be going wrong to cause this to happen?  Does EA write an error log of its own somewhere that I could look at to try to understand why it has started failing?

We are running 9.0.908 on Windows XP SP3 using a SQL Server database for the repository.

Good suggestion but is wasn't locked.  However a big thank you anyway as it led me to discover that our custom technology had actually been changed after all!

The problem was that the UML profile had been renamed but the ToolBox profile hadn't been updated to keep in step.  So although all looked hunky-dory on the surface underneath they weren't tied together.  It would have been nice to get an error flagged when the technology was generated but maybe there are occasions when the various profiles don't need to link up.

Happened to me too in the past. Less often now, but still.

Too bad there isn't a way to batch build a MDG. How often did I save the profile under the wrong name and the MDG was messed up....
