Have you created the database structure?
There's a ddl script that you can download from the Sparx website to create an empty model.
Only after that you can transfer an eap file.
AFAIK the old microsoft ole db provider for sql server should still work.
I think there's an issue with the native client, but here's a workaround if you change the provider in the "link" eap file. (use "save as" on the dbms model)
You have to the the provider to "Provider=SQLNCLI10" to use the new native driver.
