Modelling generalization between associations
« on: January 16, 2012, 09:28:35 pm »
Hi everybody!

It might be a bit uncommon but UML permits generalization between associations, like in this example. How can I model it in Enterprise Architect 9.2? The Generalization page in the EA guide is a bit short of information, and the standard Generalization relationship in the toolbox only works between classes.

Regards,
Stefano

It's not exactly the same effect as your example, but you could put an association diamond in the middle of each association and draw the generalization between the two diamonds.

Alternatively, have a look at the page "Set Association Specializations" in the help file.
