Filter against Profile Attributes
« on: January 26, 2012, 08:48:40 am »
I have created a Profile. I created a new sterotype for a use case that contains everal attributes. I use this use case element in my project. I would like to search and filter on the package against these attributes.

Can this be done?

You can create a filter to search for the tagged values, where the stereotype is that of your profiled use case.

Thanks for the reply. I did try to set up a filter.
Edit->Model Search
Opened Builder
Added a filter
   I tried the Element (which has all kinds of fields) (And as you said I can search on my stereotype and find all my Use Cases)
   I tried TagValue (Using Property and Value)
   I tried Custom Property (Using name and value)

All to no avail.

Under my profile
I created a profile called UserStory
Under that I have a stereotype called User_Story
Under that I hae attributes. One called
    "Composite User Story?" which is of tyoe boolean

I Have tried to fileter using "Composite User Story?" as either a name or property and the value = true.

The filter is not workine.

How can one filter on the attributes created under a profile?

Thanks

Call it operator error.

You filter on Tag Vlaue using Property/Value. i.e.
Property = "Composite User Story?"
Value = false

However the trick was to select the "Required CheckBox". I was not aware of this.

Thanks

Just call it a day. At least you're now a filter professional.
