Relative Path for files linked to the model
« on: March 22, 2012, 02:23:37 am »
Hi,

I have files (word/excel) linked to process models e.g. linked to activities within an activity diagram.

Currently they are linked using the absolute path from my C: drive, however when I generate HTML model and share it with someone else these linked files don't work or they can't open it.

is there a way I can use relative path to ensure that whenever I distribute the HTML model and everyone is able to view these linked files?

I don't think you can at the moment.
There's paths that you can configure at Settings|Local Directories and Paths, but I don't think that works for linked files.

You always submit a Feature Request

In the "Generate HTML Report" window there is a "Include" section and "Hyperlinked files" checkbox that allows you to export to the HTML site the linked files.

Or you can move the linked files to a shared location, and change the hyperlins. Then, the documentation will be available for everyone.

Luis.
