project transfer
« on: March 29, 2012, 09:17:51 pm »
Hello
I am attempting to transfer a .eap project to DBMS
I get an error dialog stating
"Cannot find the object t_category because it does not exist or you don't have permissions"
I don't have a lot of MS SQL experience and would be grateful if anyone can tell me what I need to do to resolve this

Thanks

Maggie

Have you created the (right) schema via Sparx' resources?

Then usually it's a permission problem. Ask your DBA to perform the transfer.

Better yet, ask your dba to give you the appropriate rights.
If you can't do a project transfer then you won't be able to edit the model either once it's transferred.

Yep it was a permissions problem, have managed to set up DBMS projects now.
During this process I noticed that if the permissions are not set correctly, sometime EA will just give me a dialog stating that 'EA has encountered a network error and will close'.
Just a tad frustrating!
