EA 9.3. Import C++ code. Possible?
« on: May 30, 2012, 01:50:37 pm »
Just installed 9.3, trial. Tried importing some existing C++ code, hoping to generate a UML diagram. Did a right-click on a class diagram, Code Engineering, Import from source files. A menu pops up, containing a choice of 4 languages: Ada, Verilog etc. No C++.
C++ language is enabled in the Options panel.
What am I doing wrong?

Much appreciated

Works fine on my installation.
Check the C++ setting under 'Tools->Options'. Under the node 'Source Code Engineering' you'll find C++. Uncheck 'Disable Language' is checked..

The four languages you're seeing are from the Systems engineering edition of EA. C++ is available from the professional edition and up (which includes the Systems Engineering edition)

I know you said that C++ is enabled in the options page, but I'd ask you to double check using Thomas' instructions.

If that fails you'll need to contact Sparx Systems Support.
