Gradient fill for paper distorted

Hi all,

EA 9.0.908 - the gradient fill for diagram background ( the 'paper') does not actually show a gradient, rather it is dissected into a set of bands or stripes. Is there anything I could do about it within EA or is it simply a matter of screen resolution?

I guess it's the screen resolution. Happens only if you go down to 256 colors or so. It's fine with millions.
