DDS plugin/RTI DDS code generation
« on: March 28, 2009, 02:03:54 am »
Hi,

I have successfully installed the MDG DDS plugin and performed a transformation/code generation. However, despite seeing the batch window for nddsgen, the native dds code is actually not generated. When I run nddsgen manually in a cmd window, it works.

Any idea of what could cause this problem?

Thanks

Uffe

Hi VB,

(Hope that's not Victoria Bitter. I'm a Cooper's Pale man myself. Although this might not be the best place to admit to that...)

If the batch window flashes past very quickly, probably what's happened is that EA fails to find nddsgen. Check the path under Add-Ins -> DDS -> Options -> RTIDDS.

Thanks for your message. Unfortunatly the path is correct... if I change it, EA complains that it can't find nddsgen...

I am a bit clueless   :'(

I found the problem!  :) The project path where the code is meant to be generated contained a folder with a space in the name. The RTI nddsgen script doesn't like it and exit without doing anything...

Whoa dude!
I'd get on the horn with RTI about that one. Considering their per-seat price that's not an acceptable limitation.
